You Know You've Been Here For Too Long When...
You don't think twice about going for a refreshing 5K run when it is 92F (33 Celsius) outside.
In my defense, by the time I went for the run the temperature had already gone down from 102F, 39 Celsius...
"Damn! That's Hot!"

Appending Break-Up?
I feel Mouldie is getting a bit too self secure as a guest in my kitchen. Apparently now he need some time to think things over and work some stuff out. I am afraid this might be the beginning of the end of the Saga that is Mouldie and Matt.
Noteworthy is that Mouldie apparently ran out of ink in the first pen, went and got a new one and finished the note.

Letter Time
Got a new note from Mouldie last night. Apparently he appreciates the steady arrival of building blocks. I heard he is thinking of adding a second and third floor, or at least break through some walls.
Yes Mouldie, my green constantly growing friend. We still cool.

Cole Slaw?
Last night as I was whipping up some bacon pancake I again heard a by now familiar sound. I could tell Mouldie was at it again, writing a little message for my viewing. Not before long the aluminium fort that is being built on the kitchen counter started spitting out a piece of paper. This one had what seems like a casual dinner invitation on it.
Name Sake
I can be pretty bad with names, unless I come up with them myself. I have friends whose real names are complete mysteries to me, I call them by the name I think suits them. One of our patients at work has a Russian-sounding name. I call her Shostakovich, after the great Soviet Russian composer. At least it is not confusing to everyone around me.

Today's Helpful Hint
People over here does not use the word 'rucksack' and they have no idea what it could possibly mean. If you strike up a casual conversation in the lunch room about how your cat's fascination with licking and gnawing your rucksack keeps you up at night, you will see a mixture of confusion and disgust in the eyes looking back at you.
True Story
The other night the wife decided to clean off her bedside table and bring the dozen(?) of Pepsi cans she had collected into the kitchen. Last time this happened I took it upon myself to rinse all those cans out and put in the recycling bin only to find out there was a whole new society growing in some of these fizzy drink leftovers, so this time it was decided that I would leave them alone and let the old ball and chain deal with her collection of aluminium petri dishes.
Then, as I was standing there preparing a delicious meal I heard something. It sounded almost like scribbling. I thought nothing further of it, until I saw something moving in the pile of pop cans. On closer inspection it was obvious that a flag like object looked like it was being hoisted from the midst of sugary syrup containers. What on earth was this? Did my gorgeous eyes deceit me? Indeed, they did not! A flag, complete with pole had been erected on my kitchen counter. I read what was written on said banner and finally understood what was going on.

Now Mouldie and I are friends. We hang out every night in the kitchen.

Casual Grunge Friday
One of all the good things about where I work is that I can pretty much wear what I want, especially on Fridays.
Not a dress, though. I have checked.
Unconfirmed sources claim a kilt would be alright, but since I don't want to wear one with someone else's colours on it that will just have to wait until I get the Erikson Clan Tartan together.

Music for the Mad
I am by my self in the office for a while so I have concocted a play list consisting of:
- Inspiral Carpets (Pretty much Blur before Blur)
- Nick Drake (A British Jeff Buckley before Jeff Buckley)
- The Cure (What any modern piece of crap Emo band aspire to be)
- The Libertines (The former next-big-thing of British Rock. Pete Doherty really blew that one!)
- The Stone Roses (The late 80's next-big-thing of Rock! The whole band blew that one.)
