Psychocandy
Today I did my first day as a research assistant at the department of Psychology. It is a part time position, which is perfect since I work full-time at my "real" job - hawking booze to anyone who wants it. It is also a great opportunity to stay a jour with the lovable world of academic psychological studies, and lets not forget that I am actually getting paid to sit at home and enter data and listen The Jesus and Mary Chain.

Little Julius
Game night
The wife finally got her way the other night and was given the privilege to lose a game of Parcheesi. At the same time I had the pleasure of enjoying some fine beer and cheese.

To Booze-land and beyond!
Tonight's musical choice falls on Depeche Mode's Music for the Masses. I am in the study going through the last year in pictures trying to figure out what to make for the lad for his fourth birthday next week.
Also - today I met quite a character from the old childhood. Kapten Zoom (or rather the guy playing him in the old kids show) decided to go on a bender and chose my till in the store to purchase all the wine and spirits that would last a normal man six months, but I'm sure the formidable old captain will see it gone by weeks end.

There are nomal winos - and then there is Kapten Zoom. |

Fascination Street
Right now I am sitting in my study listening to The Cure's masterpiece Disintegration, waiting for a show on Twin Peaks to start on the telly. More updates on this raveling situation will surely follow later. For now - here is a picture of a raccoon wearing a suit.

"Just like Donald Duck"
Yesterday I took Sean ice-skating for the first time in his life. He proclaimed it to be "very slippery and hard", but gave it his best. On the way home we also found a hill to ride down. That was fun until the sledge flipped over and Sean went head first into the snow...
For some reason it is impossible to upload pictures right now, but I will try again later.
