These drugs are really making my life harder. I just misspelled "Guardian" five times before I finally managed to get on he Daily Guardian website and read some British slightly leftist journalism.

This week my job will consist of reading and proof-reading medical consents, diagnoses and match them up with eligibility criteria, all this is while I have to focus and use all my will power to grab my coffee mug from the desk.

Office High-jinks

After having a week with insufferable back pain I finally caved and let the wife take me to the hospital Saturday night. As it turns out, I pulled a muscle whilst flexing in the gym, and was letting it get inflamed and left to swell while i was waiting for it to sort itself out. I am now strung out on wicked strong pain kills that makes me feel I should have taken the short bus into work this morning. I feel as if my synapses are acting like those kids who sit in the back of the class with their jacket on, and while being slow and stupid brings down the intellectual achievement for the whole rest of the class, while my short term memory has taken a well deserved holiday and left me to fend for myself. I believe this is going to be along day - mainly because my perception of time is riding the Oxycodone train to slowville.

After dealing with a wicked foot infection which caused one of my feet to swell like a balloon, and cost me two pairs of shoes I am finally confident that my self medicating has had effect. After a strict regimen of Peroxide, Neosporin and a countless number of strategically placed band-aids it felt good to march in to Wal-Mart last night and get my hands on the cheapest pair of trainers I could find. I am hoping to try them out tonight.

Sunday

We started off with some oatmeal for breakfast.

We played puzzles with the cat.

We defied the poor weather and went to the playground to practice going down stairs. Up is no problem, down is still a bit tricky.

Then we went to the pet store to watch dogs being groomed, and wave to the staff.

Saturday

Here are the pictures of last weekend. Not much of a mix-up from other weekends, but it was still a good time.

We spent a large part of Saturday collecting acorns.

FIRST! 2

In the afternoon Sean and myself took his mum with us and went to a park on James Island. While there we ran into Nikki's grandmother who invited us for some New Years Leftover Dinner. It was delicious.

There was another kid there who kept trying to take Sean's globe football, something that didn't go down very well. But it all got better when he tried the slides for the first time. Of course he went straight for the biggest one in the playground...

Christmas Hijinks

This is how Sean and myself spent my thirtieth and his second Christmas Eve morning.

We kicked some ball in the park, as usual. Although it was well colder than usual.
