Time Lord

Almost time to go and pick up the son and head home. See you guys in the future, in 2012...

Wilson & Work

Listening to The Smile Sessions while trying to get some work done in the office. It is not easy to focus on the job and at the same time uncover Brian Wilson's lost masterpiece.

Christmas Hijinks

This is how Sean and myself spent my thirtieth and his second Christmas Eve morning.

We kicked some ball in the park, as usual. Although it was well colder than usual.

We went to the mall to hang around in their play area, Sean really took to the boat they have there.

Fresh Out Of The Tub

Myself and the son yesterday.

Wu-Tang Clan

Saw this homemade car decal yesterday while out for lunch. This lead to me trying to explain What Wu-Tang Clan is to a car full of middle aged women, and yes - I quoted their songs.

Over Sized

This is another example of what happens when I let Sean dress himself. He goes for his new, way to big moose shirt.

Drinker

Here are the newest finds in the Beer Jungle:

Sleeper

Sometimes there is nothing better than catching some Zs while out for a walk.

Sicko

I am sick again. I believe this is the fourth cold since October, not counting the wicked stomach virus that knocked me out for a week. I was just starting to enjoy being healthy again, hit the gym the other night and rocked out 10 K in 56 minutes (not bad). Another cool thing I did this week while not hurting all over was to argue the validity of a parking ticket I got last week. I forgot to put up the parking decal and got fined 45 Wonderdollars! After I explained my case to the Parking Authority the ticket got thrown out and I was happy again. But all I can think about now is to go and pick up the boy and get him to bed so I can creep down in between the sheets with my old friend Salman Rushdie (or at least a book of his).

This is what a really cool head of bed hair looks like.

Monster Pants

I know the picture a bit blurry (or artsy...) but I thought I'd share the result of me letting the 16-month old dress himself. Personally I don't see the problem in running around in your Elmo swimming trunks, even if it is December and we are inside. Apparently everybody doesn't agree with myself and Sean...

Park Life

After the Doctors visit the other day two Erikson men went to the park to play some footie and do some random exploring.

Sean is really starting to get excellent control over the whole Football thing.

He was really curious about the ditch...

Sticks are always a hit.

At the Doc's

Last Friday I took the boy to the doctor for a check up. Here is a picture to prove it!

He is trying to figure out what to do with the lollopop while reading the latest Avon Catalog.

So we turned 30 yesterday. This is just a random picture showing how Crazy it can get in the Erikson household when milestones as such are reached.

Over The Hill

Is this a picture of a 30 year old man having one of many Birthday Guinnesses?

Why, yes! Yes it is.

Monkey Gone to Heaven

I almost forgot to blog about this: Last Friday (11/11/11, Ooooohhh...) The wife and I went to see Pixies, live in concert. It was one of the best gigs I have ever been to. They performed their Doolittle album from start to finish and threw in the rest of their classic songs as well.

Sunday II

After our outing we went home to talk about our day and drink a refreshing cup of apple juice.

Sunday I

Sunday we went to the park again to blow off some steam, this is our story:

First we were really excited to play some football.

Then we realized there was already a game going on.

So we decided to stay on the sidelines and play with the fall leaves.

Saturday

This Saturday, as we do most weekends nowadays, myself and the son headed over to the playground. we brought a ball and played some one-on-one footie. Although, the most fun all day came from counting acorns, and trying to eat some when dad weren't looking.

Little Wanderer

Yesterday afternoon Sean and I decided to head over to the local playground/football pitch and go for a stroll. We spotted some dragonflies that Sean found mesmerizing and some squirrels that he just seemed to assume were small agile dogs. We also found the hidden fun in pine cones, sticks and my bagel discount card.

Call Thomas!

Saw an odd poster while out for lunch today:

A couple of things seem obvious:
Thomas believe in repetition as a sales argument.
Thomas has no idea how a numbered list works.
I am really not sure what number three on the list is.

Sick Day

Feeling a bit under the weather still, it has been going for about two weeks now. I think that Nikki, Sean and I keep giving the bug to each other in a vicious snot filled circle. At the moment I am in the office listening to The Bluetones while still wearing three layers of clothes.

Fine Dining

Here is a picture and film of Sean's first encounter with kroppkakor. It wasn't really a hit until I gave him a spoon so he could feed himself. Obviously it went swimmingly.

Doppelganger again

Myself and the boy took another walk yesterday, and Sean bore a striking resemblance to Tjet, Allram Eest's DJ and sidekick.

Shoreline

In the office, rocking out to some Broder Daniel, Popsicle and The Wannadies. Today feels like a 90's Indie kind of day.

Swinger Baby

This weekend Sean and I took one of our long walks and decided to head over to a playground whilst out walking. The place seemed somewhat sketchy and looked more like a nightly hangout destination for local meth-heads. Although, we had the all place to ourselves yesterday and had a great time trying out the swings for the first time ever.

Eat and Rest

Sean taking  a rest from eating dinner.

Creepy Gym Guy

While at the gym last night I noticed two things while occasionally glancing at some of the 20 TVs they've got mounted at the walls.

1. ETA has declared a ceasefire.
2. Thierry Henry now plays in MLS in America. This wasn’t supposed to be news, but merely mentioned in the passing while they were talking about New York Bulls or Philadelphia Bells, or something like that.

I considered both these snippets of information quite noteworthy, so much so my first reaction when I saw them was to look around in the room to see if anyone had seen what I saw, locate some poor fellow who looked like they had been watching the same telly, and hint to them in the direction of the TV while winking in a manner that was supposed to say "Wow, can you believe that shit?".
I fear I might have looked something like this

Loo Lover

One fun thing to do is to sneak in to the bathroom and play with the toilet lid. If anyone catches you, all you got to do is close the door!
